Wednesday Friendship Group
As the name suggests, the group meets on the last Wednesday of each month from September through to the end of May.
Morning meetings commence at 10.30 a.m. in the Lecture Hall. We start with refreshments, followed by a guest speaker or some activity.
We enjoy a Christmas Dinner in Early December and have a luncheon to close the year at the end of May, but most of all we enjoy the companionship.
We have a membership of over 30, all retired, singles and couples, and we would like you to join us, and if you don't want to come on your own, bring along a friend or neighbour, or speak to someone you know in Church and come with them.
Spring Lunch 2011
We had a lunch at the Rambling Rose restaurant on 20th June as we missed our usual spring lunch in May due to the clearance of halls and kitchen for the refurbishment work.
The helpers and members were all able to sit down together - 43 of us - and everyone appeared to enjoy themselves.
As we had three long tables, there was not much room to take decent photos but a small selection i displayed here.
Forthcoming Programme
Our new season started on 28th September with a musical morning at St. Galls church hall on the Crawfordsburn Road, as the halls and kitchen were not available to us.
