groups & activities
We're have plenty of groups you can get involved in!

Choir
Music has been a feature of our praise at Ballygilbert since the foundation of the Church and under our Director of Music, Helen Brown, music is an important element of our worship and praise. Our robed four part choir consists of a fine balance of voices and sings a wide repertoire of music including many modern pieces for Sunday services from September to June. A fine Smethurst organ (rebuilt in 1988 by Wells Kennedy) is used for accompaniment of the hymns, anthems and voluntaries and we also join in modern worship songs with the praise groups.
Hymns We Love
Hymns We Love is a telling of the simple story behind our best known hymns. We meet at 11.30am on Wednesday once a month, and have a light lunch together afterwards.

Coffee & Chat
Coffee and Chat offers the opportunity for all our women to meet together on the first and third Monday of each month and we do just that! - drink coffee or tea and chat and, if you want to, learn some craft skills. Each evening ends with a different lady sharing with us a thought for the day.

It has proved to be a great way to get women of all ages together and we love to share the good times - seeing photos of weddings or new babies or special events within the lives of our women.

We can also support those going through hard times of loss, illness or bereavement being there to encourage and support.
